About Me
I’m a time-domain astronomy expert, painter, and writer — I love Dirac, Van Gogh, Kafka. Astronomy has been my profession since 2014, and my work has spanned across multiple research fields since then, from theoretical astrophysics and solving Einstein Field Equations, to computational Gravitational Waves, to observational astronomy – characterization of low-mass stars, discovery of new accretors in star-forming regions, and exoplanet discovery. These days I write science cases for upcoming facilities (Roman, NewAthena, WST, Pollux), and do the scientific support for synergies between the two upcoming missions MUSE (NASA) and SOLAR-C (JAXA/ESA).
I have been the PI of multiple programs with VLT/X-Shooter, and served for three years as the Project Scientist for Mauve (BSSL. London, UK). Alongside my scientific research, I am the Chair of the IAU Early Career Working Group Executive Committee and the Secretary of the IAU Professional-Amateur Working Group (Pro-AM WG),
and am a charity ev. member of Astronomers for Planet Earth (A4E, Munich, Germany).
I organize seminar series for the WST time-domain working group (2MTDT), LSST TVSSC, and conduct interviews for the IAU Early Career Working Group through Passion & Science and RiTS series (watch us on YouTube).
I have just started my personal project, 100 Young Astronomers and Astrophysicists (100 YA&A) on YouTube.
